CALCULATION OF RESIDENCE FOR CITIZENSHIP
Permanent residence date:
*Enter the date when you became a permanent resident of Australia. If you were granted permanent residence while you were outside of Australia, this date will be the date when you first arrived in Australia after being granted permanent residence.
Intended Lodgement Date:
*Enter the date when you intend to lodge an application for conferral of Australian citizenship.
Lawful Residence Date:
If you were granted a Temporary Residence or Permanent Residence visa before* you arrived in Australia, the date that you first arrived on that visa is the Lawful Residence date. If you were granted a Temporary Residence or Permanent Residence visa after you arrived in Australia, the date that that visa was granted is the Lawful Residence date.

Absences from Australia

*Did you leave Australia between and ? Answer 'Yes' if you left Australia for any reason including vacation, work, business, family matters, school, illness, etc.

The travel dates are stamped into the passport you used for your travels. Look for stamps with the words 'departed' and 'arrived' and enter the dates in the 'from Date' and 'to Date' fields.

If you intend to travel before lodging your application, include those future dates as well.
